      Hi Ryan,

      Great question!

      Humans are social animals and evolved to live in groups, on our own we are unlikely to survive in the wild. Behaviours that help us survive evolve just like morphological traits (like wings or eyes) do. Therefore, we have evolved to behave in ways that help us live in a group. For example, people mirror each others body language to signal to them “Hey, I’m the same as you”.
