      Hi Katie,

Thanks for the question! I’d be a writer for two reasons really.

The first is the fact that I love the way words can flow together. It’s amazing! You can string together a set of words and make the most unremarkable thing sound beautiful. I love to write and play around with words, so to do it as a job would have been bliss!

The second reason is that I absolutely love reading and losing myself in stories. There’s nothing better than escaping into a good book and reading about things that can never happen to us in real life. When will we ever get to go to fantastic places like Hogwarts or visit new planets? I have quite an active imagination so would love to be able to tell my own stories and make people as happy as other authors make me!

How about you? What would you like to be when you leave school?
      And any favourite books?

      Ian
