      Hi miniryanxx,

First thing is to exercise – your muscles grow the more you use them. You know when you do loads of exercise in one go your muscles hurt? That’s because you’ve damaged your muscles – they’ve been put under far more strain than they’re used to and there are now loads of tiny rips in the muscle fibres.

The cells and nutrients your body uses to fix the rips fuse to the muscle fibres to form part of the muscle. Now that they’ve been added, your muscles have grown bigger. This is a reeeeeeaaallllly slooooooow process though so takes a lot of time and effort.

You can speed this process up a bit by increasing the amount you eat. But not crisps and cake! Muscles have a lot of protein in them, so if you eat more protein then do exercise, there’ll be more protein for your body to lay down as it is fixing the rips in your muscles. This means your muscles can grow a little bit faster.

Hope that’s enough detail for you?

      Cheers,

      Ian

      Hi miniryanxx,

I’m no expert on this, but I’d say that doing plenty of exercise and eating healthy are probably the best way to keep your body fit!

      Hi miniryanxx,

we’ve evolved as omnivores and so the best way to develop muscle and remain healthy generally is to eat a balanced diet and take plenty of exercise.

      cheers

      Hi miniryanxx,

People make A LOT of money selling what they say is the best diet, supplement or exercise routine for building muscle or keeping fit. And what people say is best just keeps changing so i’m very skeptical. One thing I can add is that sleep is VERY important because growth hormone releases when you sleep, building muscle, so make sure you get a good 8 hours a night. I’d agree with Mark when he says eat a balanced diet and take plenty of exercise. Although eating enough protein is very important for building muscles, you also need the right minerals and vitamins which you will get from other foods.

      Hi miniryanxx

I exercise regularly and I am trying to get a bit more muscle 😀 so I have advice from experts how to develop muscle. The advice I am given are:

Get enough vitamins – which you should be getting normally if you eeat right
Eat fat – yes it is healthy, as long as you eat the right fat like olive oils, fishy fats
      Eat regularly
      Drink enough water
Eat protein – so lots and lots of meat.

Also, exerise is very important, like cardio. But doing large weights is quite unnatural and so as long as you run regularly or do natural weights like push ups or sit ups then your muscles will develop naturally.

key thing is to make sure you stay healthy and safe, and seek advice if you want to know more.

      😀
