  I’m sorry to say that although I have traveled to a few different places for work, it has not really given me a chance to meet poor people and be able to help them. Normally when I have traveled for work it has been to meet other scientists to talk about what everyone is doing in different places in conferences or to go do experiments and learn new things at other Universities… It is really important for scientists to know what is being done in other places so we can all learn from each other.
  
  I do a little bit of volunteering for some NGOs which I hope does help some people who need it here in the UK. As it’s not really what I know about, I normally help with whatever I’m asked to do!
