      hi Marden

sadly I don’t. Humans are good at inventing stuff and often stuff has unintended consequences. I can give you two good examples.

Nanoparticles are revolutionising our world and you find them in socks and suncream amongst other things. Yet we still don’t really know how they behave in the environment. So that’s a new invention and new research needed.

Another example is the pesticide that has recently been banned because it is possible that it is responsible for decreasing bee numbers around the world. Loosing our bees is serious – they pollinate plants and help us grow food. The pesticide passed all the tests it needed to for production to be legal but now people think the tests might have asked the wrong questions.

As long as we keep on inventing stuff we’ll needed environmental research and environmental scientists.

      cheers
