      Hi Jude!

Some people are naturally better than others at reading what other people are feeling just by looking at them and seeing how they act… for example new moms and dads learn fairly quickly to understand that babies cry in different ways depending on whether they are hungry or tired or want their nappies changed.

However, you can be trained to learn these things and there are a lot of people who do study how we act depending on how we feel, how we react to different things… I’m generally OK at reading people, but have never actually studied that… I think Jono might have, though!

      Hope that helps!

      Hey Jude,

Yeah, you can tell a lot about what people think by their body language. For example when people lie they avoid making eye contact and touch there face or fidget a lot.

Amazingly it can also work the other way. Making yourself present a certain body language can make you feel differently. Smiling makes you feel happier! or sitting with a powerful pose makes you more confident.
